FAQ’s

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are the membership costs?

There are no membership fees. Because marriage is a sacred obligation in Islam, we do not treat it as a commercial service. Access to the platform is provided freely. Families who wish to support the mission may contribute voluntarily as an act of sadaqah jariyah, ensuring others may also benefit.

2. How long does background verification take?

Verification typically requires 7–10 business days. This includes authentication of medical licensure, academic credentials, employment history, and basic background checks. If additional documents are needed, the process may extend slightly, as accuracy and integrity remain our highest priority.

3. Are medical students and residents eligible?

Yes. Medical students, residents, and fellows form the majority of our membership. Families are accustomed to the financial and scheduling demands of medical training, and they value candidates who are sincere and committed, regardless of current income.

4. Does the platform accept previously divorced candidates?

Yes. Candidates who have experienced divorce may apply after a minimum of one year has passed. This interval allows for reflection, healing, and growth. The application process includes a respectful discussion of past experiences to ensure readiness for a renewed covenant of marriage.

5. How are geographically distant parents accommodated?

Families residing abroad can participate fully through video calls and telephone conversations. Many of our members have parents overseas. What matters most is not physical proximity, but parental involvement and their blessing for the matrimonial journey.

6. What is the policy on interfaith marriages?

The platform does not facilitate interfaith marriages. Both candidates must be practicing Muslims. Converts to Islam are welcome, provided they have maintained consistent practice for at least two years prior to applying, ensuring a stable foundation of faith.

7. How are photographs managed and protected?

Photographs are never displayed publicly. They are submitted securely to our administration team and shared only with families who have reached a stage of serious consideration. Images are exchanged with explicit permission, safeguarding both modesty and privacy in accordance with Islamic principles.

8. Can candidates specify detailed preferences?

Yes. We encourage candidates to articulate their expectations clearly—whether regarding education, profession, family background, religious observance, or lifestyle priorities. Honest expression of preferences allows for introductions that are both thoughtful and compatible.

9. What happens if suggested matches are unsuitable?

Not every introduction leads to compatibility, and this is a natural part of the process. Typically, candidates are introduced to several potential matches over time. If compatibility is not achieved, families and our team work together to refine criteria, always with patience and trust in Allah’s guidance.

10. What level of parental involvement is required?

Parental involvement is an essential part of the process. While parents do not make final decisions, their presence ensures wisdom, support, and reassurance. They participate in family introductions and provide the foundation for mutual respect between households. This shared involvement strengthens the likelihood of a lasting and blessed union.
